Job Overview

The Delivery Team Technical Lead is responsible for architecting and ensuring the development of scalable, reliable and secure solutions designed to meet project goals and objectives. The Deck Commerce development platform is largely Microsoft-based, built on the ASP.NET and SQL Server frameworks. The Delivery Tech Lead will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Clients and 3rd parties to define and execute project requirements using Deck Commerce configurations, integrations with 3rd party solutions and occasionally custom code.  This role will provide guidance and leadership within projects to ensure Deck Commerce and eCommerce industry best practices are used to develop high quality, scalable solutions

The Successful Candidate Should Have the Following Skills & Experience:
  • Educational background in technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Task oriented and have a general understanding of project management best practices.
  • Expert knowledge of .NET, ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, XML, Web APIs and Web Development Security.
  • Working knowledge of EDI and XSLT.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with technical and business team members internally and at clients.
  • Be able to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading technical projects/teams in a client facing role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on eCommerce focused teams, in an eCommerce Department, or for another eCommerce solution provider.
  • Be able to manage the technical details of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Be able to understand customer pain points from a business perspective and make sound technical recommendations without stepping outside of product and industry best practices.
  • Exhibits good decision making skills:

                 - Evaluate risk vs. reward

                 - Correctly identify priorities

                 - Correctly diagnose issues and root-cause

Primary Responsibilities include the Following:
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure that custom solutions sold in implementations and follow-on projects are technically sound and functionally appropriate for customer use.
  • Work closely with implementation teams to ensure that the implementation and configuration of sold solutions are to specification.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, BA’s, QA’s and Developers to ensure the technical scope and business value of all projects are understood and fully executed against.
  • Serve as technical point of escalation for Project Managers, BA’s, QA’s and Developers working on implementations and delivery follow-on projects.
  • Work closely with customers to understand use cases and relate those use cases back to the Deck Commerce product feature set to recommend solutions.
  • Work closely with the Director of Delivery in managing team resources. This includes but is not limited to participating in Developer, QA and BA annual reviews, assisting in the on-boarding and training of new technical resources, and assisting in providing recommendations for staffing decisions and team capacity planning.
  • Package and support builds for Delivery Team projects.
  • Work closely with the Director of Engineering, Engineering Tech Lead and Product Development Manager to stay up to speed with product enhancements and best practices.
