QA Automation Engineer

Job Overview

The Software QA Engineer is responsible for developing and executing automation scripts and end-to-end test plans to validate that sites and systems meet design specifications and requirements.  This position will work closely with QA Analysts, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Software Engineers to understand requirements and communicate test results.

The Successful Candidate Should Have the Following Skills & Experience:
  • Ability to write and execute automated scripts, test plans and test cases
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience with eCommerce systems and processes desired
  • Demonstrate strong technical acumen and ability to analyze complex technical concepts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, excellent time management abilities, and effective under pressure
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Two to five years of related experience
  • BS in related field of study or equivalent experience
Primary Responsibilities include the Following:
  • Preview functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
  • Work closely with Project and Development teams to understand functional requirements
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases
  • Execute functional and regression tests as part of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and     requirements
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
