Job Overview

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for providing support for marketing activities that increase brand awareness and drive profitable business opportunities for Deck Commerce. They will play an active role in the creation, dissemination, and ongoing management of brand messaging, sales & marketing related content in addition to campaign development to generate and engage qualified leads and business opportunities.

The Successful Candidate Should Have the Following Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
  • Minimum 2-3 years related marketing experience  
  • SaaS and ecommerce experience preferred
  • Experience and/or certifications with the following tools/organizations preferred:
  • Experience with HubSpot (marketing software, inbound marketing, content marketing, email marketing, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with Google Analytics preferred
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles including buyer personas, the buyer’s journey, and aligning content creation with a strategic marketing plan
  • Experience with HubSpot, Canva, Meltwater, and Google Analytics preferred
  • Graphic design experience a plus, but not required
  • Ability to write and edit coherent, engaging, grammatically correct correspondences
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Primary Responsibilities include the Following:

Content Management/Brand Marketing

  • Support the marketing editorial calendar by assisting in scheduling key content creation with various internal stakeholders and ensuring all created collateral is up to date in Marketing Libraries
  • Edit, revise, post, and update content (articles, campaigns, press releases, collateral, case studies, webcasts and any other external communication) to ensure it corresponds with the overall content strategy and buyer’s journey and aligns with the brand voice
  • Create branded graphics and sales & marketing collateral (one pagers, presentations, diagrams, and misc. graphics) in Canva that meet brand standards  
  • Leverage HubSpot content management system (CMS) to build and update website pages, blog posts, landing pages, and webforms to increase website traffic and conversions
  • Build prospect email marketing campaigns and product emails in HubSpot to nurture contacts and drive engagement
  • Schedule press releases in Meltwater and disseminate to other media channels (RetailWire, Practical Commerce, etc.) to drive brand awareness
  • Update paid marketing initiatives (uploading targets, modifying offers, etc.) for LinkedIn advertising campaigns and other paid initiatives as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop content and messages for Facebook, YouTube/Vimeo, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media channels if needed
  • Manage the branded items account in Printfection to ensure items are in stock and create customized links for sending swag  

Lead Generation/Pipeline Development

  • Understand and revise the Deck Commerce buyer personas to ensure effective marketing messaging and content creation that resonates with the identified target audience (including both customers and prospects)
  • Monitor the ongoing maintenance of HubSpot customer relationship manager (CRM) to ensure effective use and segmentation of customer and lead data & cross-team alignment on functionality of database  
  • Support inbound and outbound lead-generation efforts using marketing automation tools like HubSpot and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) technologies
  • Maintain the ideal customer profile (ICP) and lead-scoring tactics to identify and prioritize incoming business opportunities  

Product Adoption

  • Send weekly release emails for minor product updates  
  • Distribute product surveys and summarize results for the team to review

Misc.

  • Serve as liaison with outside agencies and marketing-related vendors
  • Stay up to date on marketing, retail, and SaaS trends, and technology trends to position Deck Commerce as a thought leader
  • Provide support to marketing associates as needed
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
